Q: Which one looks better on me?? I have a medium skin tone and a black eyes.... i have just tried to use black eyeliner and it appears to be 'too dark'... not sure though... and what pencil eyeliner should I use for a long-lasting effect??
A: not every black has to be a true jet black. i realized this when i tried lining my eyes with a stila gel eyeliner.. the result was way too harsh and jarring because the black was so dense. then i started using my black eyeshadow as a liquid liner by adding a drop of visine to it and using a thin brush. the result is much softer and easier on the face. it's also incredibly long-lasting, even moreso than a regular liquid liner, in my opinion. if you still plan on using a pencil or crayon eyeliner, always smudge or brush on a light dusting of a same color powder eyeshadow. it sets the liner just the way translucent powder sets your makeup.
