Q: because i want to use foundation to put over top of my red marks left from the acne .. and whenever i'd put on foundation it would look like my face is really dry and weird, can i mix in moisturizer with it so it doesnt look so flaky? orwhat do i do? Also i use maybelline pure makeup. shine-free foundation with H20 and its oil free i also have this other kind, L'oreal true match which is oil free, all day wear and has SPF 17
A: I mix my moisturizer with my foundation, it works really well. It looks more natural, doesn't run or get flaky, and works better than a tinted moisturizer. Actually, if you're using a powder foundation (I don't know what kind either of the brands you said are), you want to switch to a liquid. Powders make your face look really flaky if you have dead/dry skin on your face. You can also try using a scrub once or twice a week to get rid of the dead skin cells that are probably causing the flakiness.
