Q: I'm starting to wear makeup, and the few items that I put on are: 1. mascara 2. a pink color lip moisturizer (it looks like a lipstick, but it's not) 3. eyesbrow mascara. A few questions: 1. Do you think I will look pale if I take these makeup off? I think i'm not going to look pale because I don't wear eyeliner. Am I right or wrong? 2. What else should I buy to look nice naturally? (make-up items) 3. Do you use makeup remover or soap to get rid of your makeup at the end of the day? 4. Is it okay to share eyeshadow with other people? 5. Where do I learn more about applying makeup? I'm a new to makeup...
A: 1) Anything dark you put on, like the mascara and the eyebrow stuff will make you look pale. Using eyeliner along with the rest would make it a little worse. Not wearing any of this will do the most to make you not look pale. Wearing anything darker than your skin makes your skin look paler in comparison. 2) You probably look great as you are. Makeup can make you break out. If you have oily skin, a little powder might be useful. If you want to look a bit darker, they have bronzers, or lotions that will give you a fake tan, you put it on and over several days you darken. 3) On the rare occasions I wear it, soap, but depends on what it is. Some make up doesn't come off well with soap. 4) No, you should never share any eye makeup, applicators, etc with others. It would be easy for an infection to spread. 5) Magazines, a web search, parents, friends, but mostly trial and error. Something that looks good on someone else might look awful on you and vice versa. Look at how people do their makeup. Look at make up books. Remember, less is better.
