Q: does anyone know of any good store in the UK were i can get cheap nail varnish, or does anyone have an idea of what kind of colours i should get ? thanksss x
A: The essential shops you need to go to are boots and superdrug. They give you good cheap polish. Good brands for bright colours are Barry M and Opi. You will need a slightly higher price range for these two but they are worth it. Also i think both Boots and Superdrug are having sales on barry M right now. These brands are good because they give you bright, even colour which is quite hard to find, normally colour goes streaky or is not very bold. For gentler and cheap colours (especially pinks) try the MaxFactor nailfinity range, its really good and even but not very bold. The most usseful and most used colour is pink and maxfactor nailfinity do some lovely pinks. You also need some clear for a base and top coat. Clear is also useful if you don't want colour but do want your nails to look good, its a kind of everyday thing. A great base coat is Miss Sporty nail hardener, its a pale pink so you can wear it on its own and its really good for your nails and really strong, i wear it almost every day! Next i would advise red, this colour can look good in the evening and if you get a bright enough shade it will look good in the day as well. Opi do some great nail laquer in red, the colour i use most is called "revved up and red-y" its a great even colour. Black is also great because it goes with almost anything and despite the boldness of the colour it doesn't make a great statement. Barry M do a great black. Purple is pretty much the same as black, it looks great, the natural collection do a great purple, it doesn't have a name but it is number 19. If you want to make a statement with your nails then blue is really good, you have to be careful with bright colours because they don't go with everything. Barry M should do the trick witrh "cyan blue". Another great colour for making a statement is yellow, again you should trust barry M and get number 134 its they're only yellow so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding it. Bright, shocking pinks look great on nails and, as with all the bright colours i have suggested, barry M do a lovely pink, its called "shocking pink"and looks great on nails. If you really get into having bold colours you can get orange and green, Barry M do both of these colours. Hope all this helped, you don't have to get all of these!
