Q: I was thinking about wearing make-up but I'm not sure.
A: Okay, so I noticed before answering that some 12 and 13 year old kids are actually answering your question, so I'd like to give you an older point of view. I'm 17 and going to be a senior this year, and I just want to tell you that I regret doing my makeup the way I did when I was younger. I look back on some of the pictures and just wondered, "Why did I do this to myself?" It's really tempting to put on more and more makeup once you start, but keep it under control okay? Makeup can do a lot to enhance your features, and no, 14 is not too young. But in my experiences, younger girls often make the mistake of wearing too much and really thinking that they're hot stuff. Frankly, heavy makeup just screams "I'm a younger girl trying desperately to look older". Keep it as natural as possible. Some things, like lipstick or blush, are completely unessecary for someone your age. Just experiment a bit, and find what works for you. The best kind of makeup is the kind that has people wondering, "is she wearing makeup, or does she really look that good?" Have fun :)
