how to cover up a pink scar?

Q:

A: Depending on the actual color of the scar, you have several options! If you typically wear foundation, you can use a green toned concealer underneath. Green will cancel out anything in the pink/red tones. I know that it sounds weird, but it really works! If you don't wear a lot of makeup and don't want to take a chance on seeing "green" on your face, you can find a concealer that offers a slight green tint. But, once you blend it onto your face, you'll find that you don't even notice the green or better yet - the pink/red. I have broken capillaries around my nose that range from pink to red, so I use a fabulous concealer from Ben Nye. It's a concealer called "Red Neutralizer" and it's fabulous! I use a firm brush to apply it, then set it with some translucent rice powder. That will keep it in place! Here's the web address for Ben Nye: http://www.bennyemakeup.com/ Don't be alarmed! They primarily specialize in theatrical makeup, but their beauty makeup is really fabulous! Enjoy and have fun!
