Like, what tools/brushes do I need, and what specific type and colours of makeup? And what techniques should I use? 10 points to best answer! Thanks! :] If anyone is wondering, the girl in the picture's name is "Hannie Dropkick".
A: Okay, here's my attempt. ;P For her face, she seems to make herself really pale. Or she's actually probably naturally that color and is just working off it. Put a powdered, light colored make up all over just for a base and to cover up flaws. Stay away from liquid foundations because they're going to make you tanner looking- something I'm guessing you want to stay away from? For your cheeks, you could get a really light baby doll pink blush and swipe it on with a bigger, fuller blush brush. With this kind of brush, you're putting it on more generally and less specifically- you know? It doesn't look like she has any color on her cheeks but I think that look would be cute with the pale skin and the dark eyes. For her lips, it's really simple. It's basically just a nude color. It's actually probably even cover up. I do this sometimes and what I use is a concealer stick. I use NYC and it looks like a lipstick since it's in the same bottle. I rub it on my finger and then rub it over my lips while they're closed- if you put it on like lipstick it'll be wayyyy too much and it'll look ridiculous. I also use a lipstick my MAC in the color myth. It's a nude and it's really pretty- i love it. The eyes are probably going to be the most complicated part. For a base I would start out with a shimmery nude or white color and apply it all over the lid, all the way up to the brow line. Next, get a black eyeshadow (not a dark black, but more of like a grey-black) and apply that next on your lid and just a little beyond the crease of your lid (but not to the brow line!). Then you need a liquid or waxy type of black color. Stila makes these things called smudge pots, and I'll post a picture of what it looks like since it's a little hard to explain. MAC has the same thing too. Apply that to the base of your lid, close to your eyelashes and make it as dark and thick as you like- but don't bring it too high up. For the under eyes, it's probably best to use a black eyeliner and smudge it. You can also throw some black eyeliner in the bottom corners too to make the eye more rounded looking. Be careful with the bottom that you don't go too thick because then you could end up looking like you've just lost a boxing match. Finally with the eyelashes, I'd go with fake ones. Hers are definitely fake- however if you would prefer au natural- then just coat the hell out of your lashes. I usually wear a variety of mascaras to give it the perfect affect. I use all maybelline but different names. First, lash blast (orange bottle), then great lash (my absolute favorite, pink bottle) and then lash stylist for the tips and bottom since it has such a fine brush. As far as brushes go, use professional brushes and honestly, use your fingers! I'm sorry but it's the best (and cheapest) way to apply and blend in my opinion. Just clean after smudging because you don't want to touch your face and get black dots. I hope this helps a bit- good luck! It's a tough look to pull. By the way- this is the smudge pot I mentioned. http://cn1.kaboodle.com/hi/img/2/0/0/102/b/AAAAAhTVwpoAAAAAAQK9bg.jpg
