Q: I'm a freshman this year and the homecoming is coming up, unless i get a date I'm going with a big group of friends. I need a dress (preferably with straps) thats under $50. If it helps I'm a brunette I'm 5'7" I have blue eyes and my style is preppy-skater links would help please and thank you :)
A: Wow I just shopped for one too. We went everywhere so maybe I can actually help out here. My friend and I tried every single dress on in Charlotter Russe. If they weren't limited on sizes that day we would have bought some nice ones. Here's a few we loved: DRESS 1. http://www.charlotterusse.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3227248&cp=2843536.2744998&view=all&parentPage=family (flattering but strangely clingy slip underneath that felt weird, but it was beautiful. try it on though) DRESS 2.http://www.charlotterusse.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3227249&cp=2843536.2744998&view=all&parentPage=family DRESS 3:http://www.charlotterusse.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3227250&cp=2843536.2744998&view=all&parentPage=family (this was very short though...even on me so it might be way too short for you) I ended up getting my dress at Kohl's but I wouldn't suggest it, they were very limited. Deb always has lots, we looked there too, some were nice. Macy's usually is pretty good with dresses (although we had no luck). If not search your computer for the local dress shops around town and go visit, some allow you to rent dresses. Then another thing that my best friends and I did was a dress swap, which you should try too. Grab a few old dresses and a few friends with old dresses and try them all on and swap. It was fun, the one that didn't flatter me as well looks fantastic on my friend so try that too, you never know what they've got in their closets! Good luck!
