Q: I went to prom freshman year. I had to find a dress last minute, so it wasn't like anything totally special but it was still pretty. I always have said that I wanted a red dress for prom. Money really isn't any object...but I found one on Forever 21. It's SO cute, but I don't really think it would fit for a prom. It's actually really cheap, so if I change my mind by May, it's not really a big deal either. I never really imagined myself in those ridiculous prom gowns, but I think this dress might be a bit too casual? A: I agree with you that this dress is actually a bit too casual. Prom is a very very formal event and a lot of the girls dress up very very fancy. If you wear that dress you'll probably stand out as the most casual dressed girl. I would look for something a more formal. But that is a cute dress, just not for prom.
